| NIKE NAMES NEW CORPORATE TREASURER

(NYSE: NKE; PSE), the leading sports and fitness company, today announced the appointment of Marcia A. Stilwell, 42, towards the position of corporate treasurer effective May 1. Stilwell can be a 12year veteran with NIKE and has now spent the previous Several years through the finance department. She was promoted to assistant treasurer in November 1990.
